Amstelveen Kazernepad AB06


Commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat, VeenIX is widening the A9 between the Badhoevedorp and Holendrecht junctions (A9BAHO). The motorway is being constructed at a lower level near Amstelveen. The A9BAHO is part of the Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere (SAA) road expansion.

Janson Bridging was asked by VeenIX to design, assemble, rent and dismantle temporary auxiliary bridges. These bridges ensure that traffic can continue to flow or be temporarily diverted during the work. This enables the contractor to work safely, while the infrastructure remains accessible to road users.

By opting for rental solutions, the contractor uses existing bridges, which means that temporary facilities do not have to be built themselves. This is not only cost-efficient, but also environmentally friendly, as the focus is on circular construction.

In this project, Janson Bridging supplied a number of temporary bridges for VeenIX:

  • Bridge KW02, A9 towards Holendrecht
  • Bridge KW03, A9 towards Holendrecht
  • Bridge KW04, A9 towards Holendrecht
  • Amsterdamseweg over the A9 for local traffic and cyclists/pedestrians
  • Kazernepad cycle path
  • Keizer Karelweg over the A9 in both directions
  • Keizer Karelweg cycle bridge over the entrance to the A9
  • Bridge KW08, entrance to the A9 from Keizer Karelweg
